Rose Festival

 

 

We drove out to see the Rose Festival in Shichinohe.

 

 

 

 

It was a little overcast but absolutely beautiful!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rose Ice Cream

Tastes just like roses smell.

Or, as Dan put it: "tastes the way my mom's rose lotion smelled when I was little."

Dan also said: "Roses aren't ment to be eaten, unless you're a Deer!" LOL

 

 

Hot fresh donuts.

Japanese donuts are the BEST donuts we've ever had!

They aren't overly sweet, but have LOTS of flavor!

 

 

 

Not sure what these were, but they were good.

Tasted like peanut butter protein powder with rice puffs mixed in and then rolled in white sesame seeds.
