Thanksgiving

I'm missing THIS face and his furry Yellow brother's face this Thanksgiving.

I'm grateful for:
The opportunity to live in Japan
My family & friends (near & far)
My dogs
And so much more!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

While in Korea, we found my old Kindergarten builder.
It's still there!

The first elementary school I ever went to.
It was neat to show the kids where I lived and went to school when I was about their age.

New improved park at the elementary school.
Where was this when I was little?
It's awesome!

Random road, but I remember watching my parents and brother Jared finish running a race on this street.

It's been amazing trip and fun walking down memory lane.

Korean Street Foods

Korea has some AMAZING street food.
And lots of it. You can find little food carts EVERYWHERE!!

This is Yakimando.
It's like a Gyoza. Very yummy!!

This is Hotteok.
It's like a puff pastry made from rice with something like maple syrup inside.
This too was yummy!!

Pictures of random snacks we sampled while here.

I found a Twix holder.
Not exactly sure WHY you need a Twix holder, but here it is!

FantaStick Performance

We went to see this show: FantaStick

It was a lot like Stomp.
A lot of drums and musical instruments telling a story, so it was easy to follow along.

It was very well done and entertaining.
The kids really loved it.

We found Outback Steakhouse around the corner from the theater, so we HAD to have dinner there.

Mmmmmm, steak!!

Korean BBQ

We had to try some Korean BBQ while we were in Korea.
This was a nice quiet place tucked behind Itaewon.
We had Bulgogi and short ribs with all the extra sides that came with it.
It was A LOT of food!! But SO SO yummy!!

Gyeongbokgung Palace

We got to see the Changing of the Guards at the Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Also known as the Royal Palace.

The wear these funny looking shoes.

I love all the colors on their shrines and temples.

Sydney was like a celebrity in Korea.
She kept getting asked to have her picture taken with local Korean teens.
They just LOVED the adorable little girl with Blonde hair! LOL

My adorable little family!

Danny is standing next to the statue for his Korean Zodiac: the Dog

Sydney standing next to the Dragon. Cause it's cool!

Dan & Sydney share the same Korean Zodiac: the Tiger

I was trying SO hard to get a great picture of the family with the temple in the background, that I wasn't paying any attention to funny faces Sydney was making.
LOL
