Cement Factory

 

We went with some friends to an old Cement Factory that has been turned into an Antique store.

 

 

 

Sydney found a small cane and walked around pretending to be old.

I found some GIANT chopsticks for the next level of the "Chopstick Challenge"

No More Training Wheels!!!!

 

Sydney learned to ride her bike without training wheels this week.

 

 

After a couple of weeks using her bike as a balance bike (no training wheels or pedals), she took off with very little help.

 

 

 

She is LOVING riding her bike like the "big kids."

Supersonic Jared's Visit

 

We went out for sushi several times while Jared was here.

He really liked Dan's favorite sushi place: Kappa Sushi

We're SO glad Jared was able to come visit and had some extra time to hangout with us. We had a ton of fun!!!

 

Oirase Gorge

 

 

This weekend went for a hike through the Oirase Gorge.

 

 

 

Everything was SO green and beautiful!!

 

 

 

Sydney enjoyed hanging out with Uncle "Supersonic" Jared.

I love all the waterfalls! It's absolutely beautiful here!!

 

 

 

Lake Towada was breathtaking!!

 

 

The ferry wasn't running this weekend. So, just enjoyed the view from the shore.

 

 

Gas Station Food

 

 

The gas station here have some weird "gas station food."

There's only one way to find out if you like something!!

Dan decided to try these things, whatever they're called.

It's a quail egg inside a hush puppy like batter with bits of squid chopped up in it.

 

Dan did NOT like them!

How do we eat fries in Japan?

With chopsticks, of course!!

Father's Day

 

 

 

It wouldn't be Father's Day without some awesome new grilling tools, like a motorized steam grill brush. LOL

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also got Dan a Japanese Samurai Sword. He was REALLY excited about this one.
