Matsuri: End of summer celebration

 

 

 

The kids and I got to participate in an Oban dance.

There were hundreds of Japanese, and only about a dozen Americans dancing in the worlds longest line dance.

We danced about half a mile and it took almost 3 hours to do so.

 

 

 

 

The kids loved being able to hang out with their friends.

 

 

 

We were dressed up in Yukata's.

A Yukata is a cotton (summertime) Kimono
